What is GEO? How generative engine optimization is changing seo in 2025.
Part of the reason I started this company is because, in my experience I kept hearing the same thing over and over. Companies paying tens of thousands of dollars on marketing campaigns, paying per click yet, the leads were dry. I began researching what could potentially be the issue and then it dawned on me. I myself am a Certified Generative AI and Machine Learning Specialist; In my studies I realized that even google is using AI. Everything is AI.
Which in turn affects marketing. When AI or LLMs (Large Language Models) crawl the internet they look for “human” content. The whole reason Open AI is called that is because these technologies learn from the internet and from searching. With most people, companies and marketing utilizing AI, it is almost counterintuitive.
This is where new strategies and adaptability comes in. To get ahead of the game we have to utilize both AI but also critical thinking. Traditional marketing is entering a new era where key words, ads, simple digital marketing no longer has an effect. To gain an audience, visibility or google’s attention you almost have to be a social media influencer. Think of Tik-Tok, or Facebook reels. Those are the biggest hits for views and visibility right now. AI algorithms are scouring the web for humans doing human things. To adapt you have to do short form video content which luckily (and ironically) AI comes in handy.
With tools like Canva, you can add pictures of your work and it will merge it into a video for you. It sounds tricky but you only have to out human the AI. What they are looking for is called EEAT:
Experience: Does the author have firsthand or real-world experience with the topic?AI and human raters now look for personal insights, not just regurgitated facts.
Expertise: Does the content show that the creator is knowledgeable about the topic?Google prefers expert-created content, especially for technical or critical topics.
Authoritativeness: Is the website or author a recognized authority in the subject matter?Helps determine who deserves to rank high in competitive niches.
Trustworthiness: Can users trust the accuracy, sources, and transparency of the content and website?Critical for YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) content—health, finance, legal, etc.
If you throw some of these tricks in you will be just fine and of course if you need extra help, give me a call!
